What do I need to rent a car on Bonaire?

A valid driver's license and credit card. With full coverage plan you can pay also with debit card and have the advantage of $0,00 deductible.

Do I need to have a credit card in order to rent a vehicle from Fox Bonaire Car Rental?

Yes, either a Visa or MasterCard is required.

No, if you take the full coverage plan.

Is there a minimum age for renting a car?

The minimum age for any rental is 23 years.

How long do I have to be in possession of a driver's license in order to rent a car?

The renter and any additional drivers must have been in possession of their license for at least one year.

Do you have a free pick up service?

Yes, you will be picked up by one of our regular taxi drivers from the airport or any other location on Bonaire.

How do I find the taxi driver?

After you have cleared Immigration and received your bags, you will depart through Customs. The taxi driver will be standing at the exit of Customs with a sign displaying your name.

How and where can I return the car?

You must report to the reception of Fox Bonaire Car Rental, after which you will be returned to any location on Bonaire, free of charge.

Is your office located at the airport?

Our office is a two-minute drive from the airport. You will be picked up from the airport, free of charge, by one of our regular taxi drivers.

What are the office hours?

Fox Bonaire Car Rental is open Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 19:00 (7:00 PM), on Saturday from 06:00 to 20:00 (8:00 PM) and Sunday 05:00 to 20.00 PM. Important: Fox Bonaire Car Rental offers a free Taxi and Luggage Service until 22:00 (10:00 PM). Should you arrive after this time, the next day you will be picked up free of charge from your accommodation and taken to the Fox Bonaire Car Rental office to pick up your rental car

Kaya Industria 31F, between Van Den Tweel Supermarkt and Warehouse Bonaire.

What should I do in case of a breakdown, damage, accident, or a defect on the car?

In this case you should immediately call Fox Bonaire Car Rental +599-777-8980. In case of damage and/or theft, you should also make contact directly with BSF (Bonaire Security Force + 599-717-9292) in order to file a damage/theft report.

How can I get information about insurance at Fox Bonaire Car Rental?

May I rent the car without insurance?

Yes, you can rent without insurance. The deductible is $2500.00

What is my deductible?

Without insurance it is $2500.00, with CDW $550,00 and with our Full Coverage Plan the deductible is $0.00.

How can I pay the deposit?

The deposit may be paid by an existing credit card. But a deposit is not required with our Full Coverage Plan

Can I pay cash or by debit card?

You may pay online only with a valid credit card. At the reception desk, you can use your credit card and/or debit card in case you buy our Full Coverage Plan. Fox Bonaire Car Rental does not accept cash.

Are there any additional costs for additional drivers?

With our Full Coverage Plan additional drivers are at no cost. If CDW is taken, the fee is $5.00 per driver per day.

Are there any additional costs for a child seat?

With Full Insurance childseats are at no additional cost. If CDW is taken, the fee is $5.00 per childseat per day.

Is there a fee to cancel?

If you cancel two weeks or more before the start of the rental period, cancellations will result in a 50% refund of the whole amount. In the event that you "no show" or do not check, or if you cancel your reservation within two weeks before arrival, the deposit is not refundable.

If my plane is delayed, will Fox Bonaire Car Rental continue to wait and hold my vehicle?

Yes, regardless of the time or duration of the delay, we will wait for your flight arrival at no extra cost. In case our office will be closed, our taxi driver will bring you to your accommodation and we will pick you up the next morning.

What if I want to make my vehicle reservation before I have my flight number and arrival time?

You can always give your exact flight data through info@FoxBonaire.com. What's important is to make the reservation to hold your vehicle, the sooner the better.

How long is one rental day?

A rental day is equal to 24 hours. This 24 hour term begins when the rental period starts.

How can I make a complaint?

You may submit your complaint in writing to info@FoxBonaire.com. Please be sure to refer to your reservation number. We will answer as quickly as possible.
